Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity: Summary: Infinity (Final)

So ep 23 is literally called “Infinity,” and it’s the finale that dropped today, at last. The whole thing picks up right after last week, where Reiji had to confront the Supreme Chancellor because the entire Gavan System was getting shut down. Like, imagine you save the multiverse and your boss is like, “nah we’re turning off your powers.”

Paragraph 2, the Chancellor finally trusts Reiji again. With that approval, the order to shut down the Gavan System gets lifted. That means Reiji, Setsuna, Kiki, and Kunai can actually transform again. And they NEED to because Aza Zoth’s cult is spreading those Nega Pools everywhere. So it’s not just Reiji solo, all the Gavans get their powers back and pull up for the final fight.

Third, while everyone else is handling the cult across the multiverse, Reiji’s fight is super personal. He’s been entrusted with the emotions of the “higher dimension” – which is basically this whole big cosmic feelings power they’ve been building up – and he finally gets his 1v1 with Death Gavan. Death Gavan is Tesshin Mikage, his predecessor who went rogue, so it’s like student vs evil mentor vibes.

Fourth, the episode is really about everyone settling their own score. It’s not just punches, each Gavan gets their own arch-enemy moment before the big team-up. Setsuna, Kiki, Kunai, even the side Gavans like Biccringer and Arimoto who helped with the Nega Pools last episode – they all get closure. It’s mad satisfying cause we’ve watched them all season.

And to close it out, Reiji vs Mikage is the actual decisive battle to stop his whole plan of awakening Aza Zoth. Mikage wanted to bring forth this ancient evil by spreading Emorgears everywhere, and Reiji has to end it in Makuu Space. It’s very final-final boss, all the emotions, all the multiverse stuff colliding, and it ends with Reiji actually living up to the Infinity title. Fr that last transformation goes hard.
